Frequently Asked Questions - FAQ
The “Trip Type” feature allows you to select the type of experience you desire. You can choose a Galapagos cruise only or our Best Seller Programs, which include the GO Quito hotel, tours on the mainland in Ecuador, and the Galapagos cruise. This helps the system provide the most suitable travel options for you.
It refers to the duration of your entire trip, including the days spent on the cruise and, if applicable, any additional hotel nights. You can filter for shorter (4–5 days) or longer (8, 11, up to 15 days) programs.
If you already have flights and want to book just the Galapagos cruise, select 'Cruise Only'. If you prefer everything arranged — Quito hotel, transfers, flights, and the cruise — select the Best Seller Programs.
The system uses your Trip Type to filter and display the most relevant cruise options. It’s the first step to personalize your journey.
At GO Galapagos, we offer two types of vessels:
- Galapagos Legend, a spacious expedition ship for up to 100 guests, featuring large open decks and generous social areas
- Coral I & Coral II, our first-class mega yachts with capacity for 36 and 20 guests respectively, ideal for a more intimate and personalized experience.
Some dates may not appear because there are no available departures on those days, or the cruises are already fully booked. Try expanding the date range or changing your ship preference.
“Single” means one person in the cabin (additional charges may apply), while “Double” means two people sharing the same cabin.
That means different dates have the same promotional fare. Each card represents a separate departure, and you can click “View Itinerary” to see the exact route.
No. You must select a cabin for each traveler to continue to the next step.
If you make a mistake when adding a guest, you should include the word "remove" in the summary of your selection to indicate that the guest should be removed.
Make sure each guest is added and matched to a selected cabin. Every traveler needs to be assigned.
No. You need to choose a cabin to move to the next step. If nothing appears, it may be sold out.
If you’re unsure, click the “Help” button or contact our team — we’ll be happy to assist.
You can view everything you've selected — including dates, ship, itinerary, cabin type, and price — in the “Your Selection” section. This summary appears as you go through each step of the booking and updates automatically as you make changes.
You can enjoy optional extras during your cruise, such as spa treatments, kayaking, wetsuit rentals, or beverage packages. They’re not included in the base fare and are paid separately.
You can request them before your trip or once onboard. Some services, like the kayak or spa, may have limited availability, so we recommend reserving early through our team or your travel agent.
A full list of optional services and their prices will be shared in your pre-departure information or can be requested directly from our reservations team. You’ll also find them detailed in your cabin welcome materials once onboard.
There’s no limit — depending on availability, you can add as many complementary services as you’d like. Some guests choose just one (like a spa treatment), while others combine several to enhance their experience.
Yes, you can! Complementary services are optional and personal, so you can choose to add them for one, some, or all guests in your booking — it's completely flexible.
You’ll find a full summary on the left under “Reservation Summary”. It includes the cruise dates, ship, itinerary, cabin type, and any required fees or extras. Click the arrows to expand each section.
